Bio

Susan V. Csikos is the Owner and Licensed Real Estate BROKER of Luxus Manhattan Realty, a Manhattan-based real estate independent brokerage firm. She is honored to count among her clients both local and foreign individuals and investors interested in Manhattan’s diverse properties and neighborhoods. 

A high-touch Broker known for her extensive market knowledge, Susan’s over 20-years of residential sales and rental success has come from a continuous clientele derived from positive referrals. Many clients have been with her since she founded her own company in 2006, and earlier while with leading NYC Brokerages, and together, they’ve collaborated on multiple properties for both themselves and their family members.  Respect is earned by her dedication to working tirelessly on her clients’ behalf, and by always offering candid and market-sensitive advice. Susan’s passion for perfection and attention to detail is evident even as she utilizes the latest technologies.        

As the Founder of Luxus Manhattan Realty, Susan is the driving force behind her company’s business strategy and elite customer service. Recent successes have included the complicated sale of a multi-million-dollar estate apartment and several 1031 exchanges.  Her firm’s sales team is comprised of ethical, experienced, and multilingual licensed real estate agents who represent a strong force of talented and dedicated professionals.

An experienced international businesswoman with an entrepreneurial spirit, Susan has lived and worked abroad in Hungary, France, Germany and Taiwan. English is her first language, with Hungarian her second, however, she is also highly proficient in German and French. Her multilingual skills, along with being a first-generation Hungarian-American, has allowed her to build a significant international network of people– proven to be exceptionally helpful when working with a client's relocation due to a United Nations appointment or an executive move with an international corporation. 

With such an extraordinary global perspective and background, Susan knows firsthand what it takes to find and establish a suitable home quickly, or to market and sell a property under challenging criteria. Whether buying or selling an existing home or investment property, or seeking a long or short-term rental property, clients who work with Susan can feel secure knowing they’re working with a hands-on expert —she’s lived the same excitement, the same challenges, and occasionally the same frustrations as the clients she serves.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in language and international relations from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and attended Maximillian University in Munich, Germany specializing in international business. She is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of New York and holds the CIPS, Certified International Property Specialist Designation.  Susan also services her clients’ property needs in Florida by association with a Brokerge there and where she holds an active Florida real estate broker associate license.

Hailing from Brown Harris Stevens and Corcoran for two decades, Laura joined forces with Luxus Manhattan Realty for their personal and specialized approach to handling real estate transactions.  Laura, along with Luxus Manhattan Broker, Susan Csikos, have been longtime colleagues and friends, and mutually agree this is a good fit!

Before real estate, Laura worked in a couture boutique for over six years, as a designer and head of production. She leverages her small business experience and style background to give her clients an edge by spotting diamonds in the rough for purchase or staging homes for sale. When she’s not working for you, you’ll find Laura designing her own items, testing her culinary skills, traveling abroad, performing as a singer, or walking her wheaten terrier, Maggie. Sociable and adventurous, Laura enjoys meeting and connecting with new people from all different cultures, finding ways they can help each other. Liliana Secareanu’s energetic, inspiring commitment to client service is complemented by a take-charge, hands-on approach style that stems from her prior experience as a Technology Project Manager.  Now, as a licensed real estate salesperson for Luxus Manhattan Realty, Liliana puts those skills to work each day helping overseas buyers carry out the complex process of buying real estate in the New York Metro area. 

Originally from Romania, Liliana has lived in the New York area for more than 17 years and speaks English, Romanian and conversant in French and Spanish.  She is a graduate of Baruch College, recently named as one of the Top 10 Colleges for Campus Ethnic Diversity by U.S. News, where her love for discovering new cultures flourished.  She maintains a wide network of international contacts and real estate associates in countries like Italy, France, Germany and Hungary and she is well-traveled across many other parts of Europe.

“New York is the perfect place for either residential or investment real estate,” Liliana says.  “There’s such a mix of nationalities, such diversity of culture, so many wonderful international cuisines.  And the best part of doing what I do is having the chance to introduce this amazing city to my clients.”

Liliana goes the extra step to be supportive and patient with her clients as they navigate the process of buying New York properties either as a first time home buyer or a seasoned one—and she draws on her own experience in doing so.  “Having moved here myself from Romania, I’ve been through this process.  I enjoy being the go-to person for my clients and helping them discover everything the city has to offer.  I love being able to share my knowledge and my own experience to help make their transition a little easier.”

Liliana, who currently resides on the Upper East Side, is expert at using social media to keep in touch with clients and prospective clients alike, and she’s got an eye on the market at all times.  She performs a total analysis of her clients’ needs and knows what it takes to find the right fit for each person she works with. 

When she isn’t “pounding the pavement” and seeking out the best properties for her clients, Liliana can be found taking in as much of the New York cultural scene as possible—such as museums, shows, and Lincoln Center performances.  Her interests also draw her to outdoor sports like skiing and swimming, and to the beach whenever possible.  But it’s right here in New York City that she feels most at home—and she wants her clients to feel the same!
